October 9th is John Lennon's 70th Birthday.  To celebrate the occasion - Yoko Ono, EMI Records and YouTube are conducting a call for testimonials about John Lennon from his fans around the world.  This includes musicians, celebrities and other public figures, taping a 1-2 minute video statement (no music) to share what John Lennon means to them. Fans are encouraged to talk about what they love about John Lennon, from their favorite song to a special memory they may have of John and his music, all in honor of John Lennon's 70th birthday.

This is where you come in!  We would like to represent the amazing YouTube community as part of this global tribute (along with celebs who have already submitted videos like Aerosmith, Jeff Bridges, Brian Wilson, Kelsey Grammar and others).  All you need to do is record a short video and upload it as "unlisted" on your channel page by 10/8.  When it's available send the URL to to be considered for spotlight as part of this celebration.  By noon on 10/8 make your video public and add it to the tributes being submitted on via YouTube Moderator.  Encourage friends to join you!

If you have any questions and to submit your unlisted video for spotlight consideration as part of this tribute, please send a note to
